Não só o PORTO, a nossa cidade, mas também Portugal que no passado sábado, na gala europeia dos “Óscares” do Turismo, que decorreu na Ilha de Maiorca, conquistou 30 prémios. Os World Travel Awards, resultam de uma votação on-line, onde participa o público em geral, e milhares de profissionais de turismo e viagens.
Portugal ganhou o prémio de melhor destino da Europa. O Porto o Melhor Destino de Cidade! Já a capital portuguesa conquistou quatro prémios: Melhor Destino de Cruzeiros, Melhor Porto de Cruzeiros da Europa, Melhor Destino Metropolitano à beira-mar e Melhor Destino City Break.
O Algarve foi eleito o Melhor Destino de Praia, e os Açores Melhor Destino de Turismo de Aventura. Destaque para os Passadiços do Paiva, em Arouca, que receberam o prémio de Melhor Atração Turística e de Turismo de Aventura.
Também há hotéis vencedores como o 1908 Lisboa Hotel, Home – 1908 Lisboa Hotel Official Website, com o prémio de Melhor Hotel Design e o Valverde Hotel, Sobre o Hotel – Valverde Hotel Valverde Hotel – Relais & Chateaux – Melhor Boutique Hotel.
