O Porto e Gaia, ainda mais ligados, por uma nova linha, que alarga horizontes, encurta distâncias e aproxima pessoas. Esta nova linha de metro – a linha Rubi, terá 6,3 kms,, 8 estações e uma NOVA PONTE sobre o Rio Douro, exclusiva a peões, bicicletas e metro, promovendo a sustentabilidade ambiental. Iniciará na Estação da Boavista, faz a ligação ao Polo Universitário de Campo Alegre, e encontra a superfície na encosta da Arrábida, numa moderna e simples obra de arte e engenharia portuguesa, com a marca de Edgar Cardoso. Esta obra, que iniciará em 2023, com previsão de 34 meses de execução (2025) e 300 milhões de euros de investimento do Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência, irá beneficiar amplamente o Litoral de Gaia, e reduzir a pressão do intenso tráfego rodoviário, promovendo uma clara melhoria de qualidade de vida. Da Arrábida, passará ao Candal – Polo Económico e de ligação às Caves, seguindo para a Estação da Rotunda, com um parque subterrâneo para 500 lugares, Estação de Devesas e o s/interface com as linhas urbanas da C.P., Soares do Reis, acabando numa nova Estação de Santo Ovídeo. E que letra foi escolhida para esta nova linha de metro?H!!! H de humanidade, de ligação, de serviço aos 12 milhões de utentes, com a S/vida melhorada com este anel circular SUL. EM BOA HORA!!

Porto and Gaia, even more connected, by a new line, which broadens horizons, shortens distances and brings people together. This new metro line – the Ruby line, will have 6.3 km, 8 stations and a NEW BRIDGE over the Douro River, exclusively for pedestrians, bicycles and metro, promoting environmental sustainability. It will start at the Boavista Station, connect to the Polo Universitário de Campo Alegre, and find the surface on the slope of Arrábida, in a modern and simple work of Portuguese art and engineering, with the signature of Edgar Cardoso. This work, which will start in 2023, is expected to take 34 months to complete (2025) and 300 million euros of investment in the Recovery and Resilience Plan, will benefit the coast of Gaia, and reduce the pressure of the intense road, promoting a clear improvement in the quality of life. From Arrábida, it will pass to Candal – Economic Hub connecting the cellars, heading to Station of Rotunda, with an underground park for 500 places, to Station of Devesas and the interface with urban lines from CP – Trains. Soares do Reis, ending in a new Santo Ovídeo Station. And what letter was chosen for this new metro line? H!!!
