We continue to experience a lack of rooms, houses and residences for university students. Portugal registers an increase in the number of students, for whom the country has not yet been able to meet the accommodation needs.
The PPR guarantees around €32,000 for each bed made available through the National Plan for Accommodation in Higher Education, where the largest share will be in the North Region. Even so, this is an investment opportunity for the private sector, because the market has great potential for growth, if Portugal takes advantage of the lack of response capacity of the Universities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. We will be an alternative, and there are still properties with a framework for investing.
